LOL, Scott! I'm not so sure that anyone really got "fucked over" as much as many were the victim of a gargantuan natural disaster.
Not only is it difficult to prepare - I'm not even certain exactly how we could prepare seamlessly for such an overwhelming event.
Please don't think I leave all blameless; I do not. I only think that what happened was not merely the result of governmental error and lack of planning.
And I also do not think that the "big picture" was a function of racism, too - though individual incidences of it unfortunately occurred.
